Truth Hurts

I have questions, a million and one of them. Maybe more.
I figure that honesty may be outdated or perhaps way out of many of our leagues, but wouldn't life be easier if people knew our intent?
And they decide for themselves if they too want to go with it.

Or maybe, when the days come when we decide we're sick of the long ride which has only just begun, we spare them a lifetime of what-ifs and bid them goodbye and let them heal more easily going forward.
Or maybe if that isn't quite our thing and we are specifically custom made for silent treatments and disappearing acts, surely a heads up won't be a bad idea.

Cos here's the thing, no one needs an explanation, maybe no one even deserves an explanation or perhaps no one should get one... that's all well and good, but how do you sleep at night?

Knowing that person who's had to learn trust again has fallen back to square 1 because your words never held true;
Knowing that person who all but wanted to be familiar with heartbreak, got a thorough definition with you;
Knowing the reason why that person would never believe they are enough is cause you made them second guess themselves- because they were undeserving of the truth...?

If you claim it's your truth and yours alone to tell, maybe a placard that says it as it is would be more than enough warning to those who don't mind treading at their own risk...
How do you sleep at night?

Honesty they say, is the best policy. It doesn't get any truer than speaking the truth, your truth... our truth. It's always easier to deal with the truth on the long run...
...or maybe it's just easier said than done.

  1. Well I guess some people just feel it's way easier with the silent treatment than saying their truth. I believe if you want something , you say your intentions as it Is, over and over so that whoever comes on board with you, get to decide by themselves if they are truly up for it. Well written pea🤗🥳

  2. Or maybe personality types does differ and people may not actually know or didnt learn how to share their truth. A myriad of factors are most definitely the root causes of why some people unwittingly become truth-shy.
