Cloaked

Cold, numb, forlorn
Completely ridden, stripped of rights
Demoted to inexistence
How does it feel to be a guest in a place where you once owned
Accenting carefully placed movements;
hushing loud what ifs

Your lips speak a tone keeping them glued together
No sweetness here
Every bit of these walls now represent broken promises
...walls you erst called love

With tears trapped in egoistic cocoons
and words swallowed in pain inducing breaths
Your eyes see a picture painted in shattered reflections
A picture where with ease and comfort, you once featured in

Your pain builds a stair way to nothingness
An abode of memories long buried
Decaying in the depths of your regrets
These regrets of silent musings longing to be heard
The words you hold in
Swallowed in your hurt
The hurt you shield from the world's constant stare
