Your laugh echoed in cackles

I caught your smile

My face shone with a light from within

A tender beat against my chest

My heart dances at twinkling eyes

As your bashful yet humble stride

Starts at my direction

The world of lipsticks and stilettos at loss doth stare

For mine forthwith, their loss thou art

A sweet slumber, an abode

I can get used to this

Check-check my mental list has lost its relevance

And like white washed jeans

My insecurities are fading... involuntarily

As with every good dream,

Reality, like an unwelcome guest comes knocking too soon

'Sembling a slap to the back of my head

I'm jolted back in cold despair

In an instant, 

This hiccup unexpectedly has a name in numbers

and an endless infinity of limitations

Rankling reasoning
rather rapidly runs

Without warning... the worst woes 

Thru the crack in the wall, a wandering lizard breaks in

It nods in silent appreciation at the attention its accorded

Taking in short breaths

underneath its dry scaly skin

Panning and tilting till it has me in its focus

my flaws are magnified by dilated pupils

"Maturity, Marriage, Menopause"

...but if our ancient Kings laid loyal to set traditions

then we should skip this label of limitations

and unnecessary designations

Once flaming red hot coals now burn a mild amber

An aperture of impure air snapping at its core

Just like bogus magic...

the embers become chunks of dead coal,

coated in char ash
